The Bay of Plenty's stunning backdrop serves as the perfect canvas for a technician to contribute to rural communities, from Waihi through to Whakatane, installing and enhancing the Lightwire network throughout customers' homes (using customer premise equipment, CPE).

This is a great opportunity to showcase your commitment to excellent customer experiences and top-notch workmanship. If this sounds like you, and you're looking for a self-managing role with great customers and a great team, we encourage you to apply.

Lightwire currently supports 8500+ rural customers across the Waikato and Bay of Plenty and has some ambitious growth goals for our reputable services.

What you’ll be doing?

You’ll be part of our Field Service Team assisting with all physical aspects of installing and maintaining the various networks that Lightwire operates.

Field Service Technicians are the “face” of Lightwire and interact directly with customers on a day-to-day basis. With a can-do mindset, you will be working independently in the Bay of Plenty.  We focus on our team feeling connected and will ensure you are equipped with the best tools, training, and team to get the job done well.

In a typical week, you can expect to be………

  • Maintaining existing customers' connections which includes diagnosing and rectifying customer connection problems.
  • Travelling to our Hamilton HQ to gather stock and meet with the team once a month or as required.
  • Potential to be trained and involved in tower site builds and tower upgrades across our network.
