Finance Analyst / Finance Business Partner

The Company

My client is a MNC that operates in a down to earth NZ environment in recently refurbished CBD offices. The company has a strong mix of domestic and export sales. As a market leader in their industry, they have a strong reputation and continue to trade well and grow. The company has a high performing culture with regional offices scattered around NZ with circa 50 staff based in HQ in Auckland. They are a flexible organisation that offers WFH and an array of other benefits.

The Role

The role of finance analyst will report to the FP&A manager and will be an integral member of the financial planning and analysis team. The role has strong elements of partnering that will allow you to get out into the field to support the business and regional managers. It will also provide access to other senior finance leadership underpinning the importance of the role. Some of your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

- Monthly snapshots with analysis and commentaries

- Budgeting and forecasting, including regular reforecasting

- A variety of regular and ad hoc analysis

- An opportunity to partner all corners of the business

- Pricing reviews, customer margin analysis, channel distribution profitability and net return on products

Your profile:

To be considered for this role, we are looking for an individual with the following skills and attributes:

- Circa 3+ years of proven analytical experience and a demonstrable ability to pull together a snapshot of monthly management reporting

- High commercial acumen, an ability to understand key business drivers and translate financial information to operations

- Proven stakeholder management skills and an ability to partner the wider business

- Exceptional communication skills - both written and verbal

- Strong excel skills with an ability to build and maintain models

- Strong attention to detail

- An ability to work as part of a collaborative team
