The national Finance team plays a key role in supporting the firm through the delivery of accurate, timely and high‑quality internal and client reporting, alongside core finance administration activities. Working closely with partners and wider business services teams, the team helps maintain strong internal controls, efficient reporting processes and a high standard of service across the firm.

About the role


We are looking for a Finance and Reporting Assistant, based in our Auckland office. In this role, you will support the Finance team across a broad range of finance operations and reporting activities, contributing to strong internal controls, efficient reporting processes and a high standard of service across the firm.



This is a varied role that will suit someone comfortable with engaging with a wide range of stakeholders, and developing their skills within a stable and supportive team. 



Key responsibilities include:



  • Processing staff expense claims and administering firm travel processes.

  • Performing daily bank reconciliations and supporting month‑end close activities.

  • Preparing GST reconciliations, journals, balance sheet reconciliations and statutory reporting

  • Supporting internal and external client reporting, including managing reporting requests and maintaining reporting templates.

  • Assisting with data quality management and identifying opportunities for automation and process improvement.



About you

The successful candidate will have:



  • At least 2 years' experience in a finance or accounting support role (e.g. Finance Assistant, Assistant Accountant, Graduate Analyst, Reporting Analyst), ideally within a professional services environment.

  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.

  • Experience preparing reconciliations, journals and financial reports.

  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills and experience working with financial systems.

  • A strong service focus with the ability to understand and respond to the needs of different areas of the firm.

  • The ability to build strong relationships and work collaboratively with stakeholders at all levels.
