The role
At Electric Kiwi, Finance isn’t a back-office function, it’s a key part of shaping our strategy. We move fast, and we need someone who can think commercially, model accurately, and influence decisions with data-led insights. Here’s what you’ll be doing:
- Deliver detailed forecasts for gross margin along with analysis of material drivers and key sensitivities.
- Perform scenario analysis to enable decisions that optimise value for TEC
- Contribute to the delivery of the P&L, cashflow and balance sheet forecast
- Manage retail pricing, ensuring reporting and compliance requirements are met and changes are implemented in line with strategy.
- Perform wholesale market and hedging analysis to enable the head of wholesale to optimise the hedge portfolio
- Support managers from around the business by analysing key performance data to identify areas for improvement
- Collaborate with technology and data science teams to build models that are enhanced by AI.
- Build business cases to make recommendations on opportunities for growth.
- Provide clear write up of analysis for management and board reporting.
- Collaborate with broader teams to enable execution of larger projects
- Provide on-going analytical and financial modelling support
Who we’re looking for

- Tertiary qualified in Accounting/Finance/Economics
- At least 3-5 years’ experience in finance or commercial roles
- CA or CFA qualified (or working towards)
- Advanced with Excel
- Experience with SQL is desirable
- Demonstrated ability to understand financial statements
- Strong commercial awareness and analytical mindset
- An innovative mindset; showing a passion for exploring emerging AI trends and their application in commercial finance.
- A confident and effective communicator with excellent organisational skills.
- An inquisitive mind and a curiosity to understand how and why things work
- Great attitude with a willingness to learn and ‘get stuck in’
- Self-motivated and able to show initiative
