About this role

The accounting function for the business is currently outsourced, so this newly created role will have sole responsibility for the core accounting functions in house including setting up and maintaining of all financial processes and shaping the financial future of the business.  We are looking for a proactive, energetic and detail-oriented person to join our team, supporting the CEO. This role requires meticulous attention to detail and comprehensive knowledge of finance and accounting principles, tax, laws and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and maintenance of all financial processes and reconciliations including accounts receivable, payable, payroll, stock management and taxes.
• Bank account reconciliations
• Develop and prepare punctual management reports on financial performance.
• Providing general accounting and tax advice to leadership
• Prepare annual budgets and re-forecasts.
• Stock reconciliation and management - multiple international locations.
• Managing international sales tax compliance over multiple jurisdictions.
• Managing cash flows and optimising returns.
• Prepare and lodge GST and VAT returns in multiple regions.
• Prepare Financials that support the tax returns to be lodged by external accountant.

What you will bring:

• CA qualification (or equivalent) 
• Solid knowledge of financial analysis and forecasting.
• Proficient in the use of MS Office and Xero .
• Experience in ecommerce business preferable.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
• 4+ years proven experience in intermediate to senior finance roles, particularly in high-growth B2C environments. 
• Happy to solely manage end to end accounting processes.

It would be nice if you had:

• Shopify experience.
• A2X experience.
• Inventory management system experience.
