Finance Officer

Our client is a trusted NZ supplier of consumables to the food service, healthcare, cleaning, and manufacturing sectors. They’re on the lookout for a steady, capable Finance Officer who can keep the financial engine running smoothly while supporting a busy, growth-focused operation.  

This is a hands-on role covering the full finance cycle – AR, AP, reconciliations, cashflow, reporting, and audit support. You’ll work closely with the Managing Director, providing accurate financial insights and keeping processes tight, compliant, and well-organised. It’s a role that suits someone who’s practical, detail-driven, and comfortable owning the day-to-day finance function in a small to medium business.  

You’ll bring solid experience across finance operations, including reconciliations, financial reporting, and month-end support. Confidence with systems (NetSuite or similar), multi-currency transactions, and Excel will set you up well. Just as important is your ability to juggle recurring cycles and the unexpected without losing accuracy or momentum.  

This role is full-time, 40 hours per week. Our office is based in Whanganui and ideally you enjoy working from the office to stay connected with the team and business.
