The Finance Group plays a critical role in enabling NZ Police to deliver its outcomes within budget. Within this, the Financial Processing team provides essential financial support services nationally, covering four key functions: Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Purchasing, and Help Desk support.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for delivering outstanding customer service and a desire to build on their Accounts Payable and Receivable experience. The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to provide high-quality service to a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
The primary purpose of this role is to deliver efficient and accurate high-volume payment processing and creditor invoicing, while resolving vendor and customer queries within demanding timeframes.
As a Finance Support Officer, you will ensure compliance with NZ Police finance policies, performance standards, and accounting rules. Working in a high-volume processing environment, you will need to demonstrate strong attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
You will be proactive and innovative, continually seeking opportunities to improve processes and add value to the service provided. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential, along with a positive, enthusiastic ‘can-do’ attitude.

Knowledge of foundations in accounts is required and experience with SAP would be ideal however similar large computer systems will mean you bring transferrable skills.

Utu ā-tau | Salary –
This position is covered by a collective agreement and salary will commence between $58973 and $60,639 dependent on skills and experience relevant to the role.
