Our client is a well-established and successful New Zealand owned business in the construction sector, and has been experiencing steady growth year on year, through a number of new acquisitions. Due to an internal promotion and changing needs of the business, they have created the role of Financial Accountant. The successful candidate will join a well-established finance and administration team and will take responsibility for managing the financial requirements for a number of entities, sitting under the umbrella of the wider group.
The Accountant position is a new role which has been created to meet the needs of the business as it grows. Reporting to the Group Head of Finance and forming part of an accounting and administration team of 9, this role is responsible for the reporting and collation of relevant information for the joint ventures and subsidiaries within the Group.
Key duties will include:
To be successful in this role you will be able to demonstrate experience in a similar role and will be confident using Microsoft Excel and financial accounting systems such as MYOB. You will have a pragmatic thinking style with excellent communication skills and will have a positive and focused approach. Working in the construction sector means you will need to be confident dealing with people at all levels, with a range of different styles and personalities. You will need to be adaptable and resilient and able to switch between changing priorities with ease.
