ROLE: Financial Adviser/Mortgage Broker

 

Who we are

Star Mortgage is a financial advisory firm headquartered in NorthShore Albay, we provide tailored financial advice to our clients, involving in property finance, construction, sub-developments, home loans, business and commercial finance etc.  We are excited to expand our footprint into central Auckland, and are currently recruiting for our New Market Office.

 

We are now looking for some talented individuals who have either some or all of the following:

  • Extensive sales experience, in any field. 
  • Wide and varying networks of potential future clients, or access to.
  • Previous or current background in Real estate sales.
  • Previous of existing background in banking specifically in lending at any level.
  • Previous or an existing financial Adviser/mortgage broker looking for a change.

Role Requirements

  • Ability to quickly establish and understand the client’s unique needs and objectives, and create a strong ‘trust’ relationship.
  • Strong time management to conduct meetings with clients and develop a tailored financial plan that aligns with their risk appetite, needs, and goals.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage the end-to-end deal proposition. 
  • Compliance is pivotal in our industry, and the candidate must exemplify the 6-steps of providing financial advice and be motivated to do the right thing for our clients.  
  • Demonstrate a proven track record of building and maintaining client relationships, with a customer-centric approach.

 

Candidate Requirements

  • Ideally, you would have your Level 5 Certificate in Financial Services with a property lending strand or be close to finishing. If this isn’t the case at least an interest in getting into the industry and gaining your certificate eventually.
  • Experience in mortgage lending in a banking capacity would be advantageous but not necessary.
  • A background in real estate sales would also be advantageous but not necessary.
  • Exceptional customer service skills with meticulous attention to detail and strong time management skills.
  • Someone with the ability to work independently and also as part of a team
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and concisely.
