The Financial Crime team are a multi-facet team dealing with many aspects of financial crime, and due to internal growth they are looking for a Financial Crime Analyst to join our NZ team.

As a Financial Crime Analyst, you will assist with implementing and maintaining a robust Financial Crime Risk programme framework designed to detect, manage and mitigate the risk of money laundering. Your strong work ethic and attentive approach will see you building and maintaining strong internal and external stakeholder relationships. We have offices in Auckland, Wellington, Darwin, Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. We value a flexible work environment and support a hybrid working model, allowing employees to spend two days a week at the office, ensuring work-life balance and individual preferences.  While we are open to applicants living in Wellington, ideally this role will be based in Auckland.

Your day-to-day...

  •  Manage AML/CFT transaction monitoring / analysis.
  • Execute SAR Investigations within prescribed time frames.
  • Watchlist screening and maintenance analysis.
  • Fraud reporting and Investigation.
  • Ad-Hoc financial crime projects - ownership and delivery.
  • Contribute to DIA Annual AML Returns, and s59 external audit requirements and compliance document reviews.

You're a match if you ideally have...

  • 3+ experience with on the job AML / CFT skills, or experience with a solid understanding of AML/CFT risk management, customer due diligence obligations, and investigations.
  • Fraud Investigation experience, and an understanding of the betting/wagering industry would be advantageous.
  • A resilient, diligent, and professional approach to handling challenging situations.
  • An analytical and investigative mindset, with an innate drive to look beyond the surface and think critically.
  • A methodical and detail orientated work ethic, with the ability to handle competing priorities.
