If you are considering a change of environment in the mechanical engineering space, we want to talk with you. Our client is a leading specialist engineering company under stable management.
Ideally you will be a highly skilled and experienced Fitter/Turner and Welder. However if you have a relevant mechanical engineering qualification and the right attitude you may be considered for this opportunity.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include performing a variety of tasks related to mechanical fitting, turning and welding, based in the workshop and using manual lathe and MIG/TIG welding equipment.

We are looking for a good sort who will fit in well in a small friendly team.

Key responsibilities and requirements:

A relevant trade qualification (preferably 3+ years in the trade)

Able to reading and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints and able to utilise relevant industry software

Strong and varied machining experience – using a range of manual lathe equipment and tools to perform mechanical fitting and turning tasks

Operate welding equipment to perform welding tasks – MIG/TIG

Inspect and test completed work to ensure it meets quality standards

Maintain a safe and clean work environment
