Job Description - Fleet Coordinator

You will manage the BNZ lease car fleet of vehicles and BNZ drivers, including allocation, reporting, monitoring and supporting the development and implementation of processes. You will ensure that BNZ drivers are on the road safely and equipped to serve our customers brilliantly.


You will help the BNZ on its journey to reduce its environmental footprint. Working with the BNZ ESG team in setting and achieving goals.​

This is an Auckland based hybrid role with three days in the office and two days where you can work flexibly. Anchor days in the office are Monday and Tuesday.

What are 5 day to day tasks the person in this role will complete?

Fleet:​

  • Supporting the National Facilities Manager to administer the overall BNZ vehicle fleet, including moves, adds, changes to the fleet, allocation of vehicles and Driver Safety Programme.​
  • Coordinate relationships with the fleet vehicles lease and vehicle service providers.​
  • Complete periodic reporting including elements of sustainability, finance, and H&S.​

Managing Risk/Health & Safety:​

  • Ensure legislative and policy compliance and assist in promoting a safe culture.​

Financial Responsibilities:​

  • Drive financial efficiency and risk mitigation in BNZ Fleet costs.

What is the team culture and environment like?

You will be part of the BNZ Properties Team, who find, refit and keep operating all the BNZ corporate and retail sites, deliver excellent working experiences enabling our colleagues to serve our customers brilliantly.

What projects / work will the candidate be working on now and into the next year?

The BNZ are changing over their lease fleet over the next two years and growing their lease size. You will coordinate and oversee the change of over 140 vehicles this year and growing the fleet to meet growing demand for our banking services within the network. You will be integral to our sustainability goals, delivering and managing efficient vehicles, and embedding an updated home charging option for BNZ drivers

What is the most exciting thing about this opportunity?

The delivery of new model vehicles is eagerly anticipated by our drivers, you will be the face of this delivery. Managing the lease tails of the outgoing fleet and keeping up with demand for fleet growth requires agile management and the ability to keep a number of projects on the go at once.

Requirements for this role?

  • Must be 21 years old or over (for insurance purposes)
  • Need Full Drivers Licence
  • Have experience with fleet management

In addition, you will need to be proactive, organised, an excellent communicator, able to weigh up costs and benefits and have the ability to adjust plans when necessary.

What do we want you to know before you apply?

You will be experienced in fleet management, which includes a working knowledge of New Zealand traffic legislation and safe driving practises. You will know and be experienced in using the Microsoft Office suite of tools to organise, plan and coordinate the delivery of vehicle management. You will be timely, clear, concise and accurate in your communications.
