Juken New Zealand Ltd (JNL) is an established and globally connected New Zealand forestry company. We operate three wood‑processing plants across the North Island and manage forest estates in both the Wairarapa and East Coast regions.
We’re looking for a motivated and capable person to join our East Coast Forests team as a Forest Development Manager. Reporting to the GM – East Coast Forests, you’ll be responsible for planning and delivering JNL’s forest development programme to ensure we continue to grow a strong, high‑quality forest resource.
Key Responsibilities
Manage forest development operations to support the long‑term objectives of our integrated forestry business.
Build and maintain strong contractor relationships that meet legal, operational, and company expectations.
Ensure forest development activities meet JNL Health & Safety and Environmental policies, procedures, and standards.
What You’ll Bring
Experience in silviculture or forest development is preferred, but we’re open to the right person with the right attitude.
A tertiary qualification in forestry or a related field.
A commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy workplace.
The ability to work well as part of a team, while also being confident working independently.
An analytical, practical mindset with a willingness to learn and grow.
A genuine interest in developing a long‑term career in forestry with JNL.
