Position Purpose

As an FP&A Analyst, you will play a critical role in ensuring accurate forecasting, efficient inventory management and margin optimisation. 

Reporting to the CFO, your primary responsibility will be to analyse historical sales data, market trends, and other relevant factors to develop comprehensive demand forecasts. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and supply chain, to achieve one committed sales plan which will help optimise inventory levels, minimise stockouts, and maximise customer satisfaction. 

 

Responsibilities

Your expertise in financial planning and forecasting will contribute to the Jamie Kay Group’s profitability and strategic decision-making.

  • Demand Forecasting: Utilising historical data analysis, and market insights to develop accurate demand forecasts at article/Sku level for each sales channels that is linked to marketing promotions and collection launches. Collaborate with sales, marketing, and product development teams to understand market trends, promotional activities, and new product introductions that may impact demand. Forecast indicative purchase orders which encompass volume (quantity to order) and value (revenue and margins).
  • Financial Modeling: Develop sophisticated financial models that is linked to demand plan. Conduct sensitivity analyses and scenario planning to assist in decision-making and risk assessment.
  • Sales and Margin Optimisation Analysis: Analyse sales patterns, customer behavior, and inventory levels to identify demand trends, seasonality, and potential supply chain gaps to maximise value and margins. Monitor and evaluate the accuracy of demand forecasts and make necessary adjustments to optimise inventory planning and replenishment.
  • Finance Business Partnering: Serve as a strategic advisor to business units, providing financial insights and guidance to support decision-making processes and drive performance improvements.
  • Inventory Optimisation: Work closely with supply chain and production teams to optimise inventory levels and margin via sourcing while minimising stockouts and excess inventory. Develop and maintain inventory strategies, safety stock levels, and lead time analysis to improve overall inventory performance.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyse data, generate reports, and provide accurate forecasts and performance metrics. Present findings and insights to management and stakeholders, highlighting key trends and areas for improvement.
  • Process Improvement: Drive the development of new tools / processes & ways of working that will unite the organisation & improve our efficiency in demand planning. Lead the process of a consolidated demand plan from eCommerce/Wholesale/Retail & Distributors.

 

Qualification

  • Proven experience in merchandise planning, financial analysis, or related roles within the apparel industry or similar
  • Proficiency in data analysis and financial modeling tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
