This is a senior, high-impact role based in our Auckland Support Office, with responsibility for leading franchise recruitment across Australia and New Zealand, and for managing and growing the majority of our Australian franchise network. Working alongside an existing Franchise Business Development Manager who supports New Zealand franchisees, this role is pivotal to the successful expansion and performance of our Australian business.



About the Role


This role combines franchise recruitment, franchise partner leadership, and commercial performance improvement, with a strong emphasis on the Australian market. You will act as a trusted business advisor to franchise partners, supporting them to build profitable, sustainable businesses while ensuring Stonewood’s brand, systems, and standards are consistently applied.


 


Key focus areas include:



  • Recruiting and onboarding new franchisees across both Australia and New Zealand

  • Managing, supporting, and developing the majority of existing franchise partners in Australia

  • Driving franchise network success through strategic planning, KPI improvement, and operational excellence



What You’ll Be Doing


Franchise Growth & Recruitment



  • Lead franchise recruitment initiatives across Australia and New Zealand

  • Identify, assess, and onboard high-quality franchise partners aligned with the Stonewood brand

  • Support successful market entry and early-stage performance for new franchisees


 


Australian Franchise Performance & Coaching



  • Manage and support the majority of Stonewood’s Australian franchise partners

  • Conduct structured performance reviews and collaborate on business and improvement plans

  • Provide hands-on business coaching, financial analysis, and commercial insight

  • Support franchisees with P&L review, cashflow forecasting, and KPI management

  • Drive improvements in sales performance, build outcomes, and customer experience


 


Governance, Brand & Stakeholder Leadership



  • Ensure adherence to franchise standards, systems, and operational compliance

  • Act as a brand ambassador, ensuring quality and consistency across the Australian network

  • Build strong internal relationships across sales, marketing, procurement, and customer service

  • Partner closely with the NZ-based FBDM to ensure alignment across the Australasian network



About You


Essential experience and capability



  • Proven experience within a home-building or construction franchise environment

  • 10+ years’ experience in sales, business development, franchise operations, or a related senior role

  • Strong understanding of residential construction and franchise business models

  • Demonstrated ability to coach, influence, and challenge business owners constructively

  • High level of commercial acumen, including P&L management, cashflow forecasting, and KPI reporting

  • Strategic thinker with strong communication and stakeholder management skills


 


Highly desirable



  • Experience managing franchise partners across Australia

  • Exposure to franchise recruitment and network expansion

  • Experience operating across multiple regions or countries
