We are looking for a Front-end Developer to join our Wellington based Web Development team on a fixed-term basis through to 07 March 2025 to cover parental leave.

He angitūtanga: About the Role

This role is responsible for the development and delivery of web solutions for the TEC's digital presence.

• Develop front end customer facing web features.
• Share responsibility for ensuring all front end work is consistent with design language and brand.
• Write code that can be easily incorporated into the automated testing suite.
• Provide high quality, timely advice about the available web technology options to the Web team and wider directorate as required.

The Front-End Developer is focused on developing front end solutions to the specifications provided by internal analysts. The role requires someone with the following:

• Experience developing front end customer facing web features, interactions and animations
• Experience with source control (ideally Git)
• Knowledge of using Agile methodologies in web development
• Excellent communication, facilitation and interpersonal skills
• Three additional (TEC Days) leave days

The salary range for this position starts from $78,167 up to $91,961 + 3% KiwiSaver depending on demonstrable skills and experience.
