About the role

Are you passionate about connecting people to purpose? Christians Against Poverty (CAP) is looking for a motivated

Fundraising Coordinator, to join our dynamic Fundraising & Communications team during an exciting season of growth and transformation.

In this permanent part-time role (18 hours per week), you'll play a vital role in delivering an exceptional supporter experience. You'll be the friendly and responsive first point of contact for many of our supporters, helping to strengthen relationships, coordinate fundraising activities, and ensure supporters feel connected to the impact of their giving.

Reporting to the Fundraising Manager, you'll work closely with teams across fundraising to support supporter acquisition, cultivation and retention initiatives. You'll help process donations, coordinate supporter communications, maintain accurate records, and contribute to campaigns and events that inspire greater generosity and engagement.

Key areas of responsibility include:

• Deliver a high-quality supporter experience that ensures every supporter feels valued, appreciated, and connected to CAP's mission


• Manage supporter enquiries, donation processing, acknowledgements, and fundraising administration with accuracy and care


• Support fundraising campaigns, events, appeals, and donor engagement activities to increase supporter participation and giving


• Maintain accurate supporter records, reporting, and database management to support effective fundraising decision-making


• Collaborate with fundraising teams to identify opportunities to strengthen supporter relationships and grow one-off and regular giving

About you

You're a people person who enjoys building relationships and delivering excellent service. You understand that every interaction matters and are committed to helping supporters feel seen, valued, and inspired by the impact they make through their giving.

You are proactive, organised, and enjoy bringing structure and efficiency to your work. You can confidently juggle multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. You are comfortable working independently, while also contributing positively to a collaborative team environment.

You are adaptable and lead yourself well through seasons of change. Rather than taking the path of least resistance, you're motivated by CAP's mission and committed to helping create meaningful transformation for whānau experiencing financial hardship across Aotearoa.

You’ll also bring relevant experience for the role:

• A strong personal alignment with the foundational Christian philosophy, organisational identity, culture, and values of CAP


• Excellent oral and written communication skills


• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills


• Strong administration and organisational skills


• Experience working in a coordination, administration, customer service, fundraising, or supporter-facing role


• Confidence using multiple technology systems and databases


• High attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively


• A genuine care for people and a commitment to delivering excellent supporter care
