Danske Mobler Ltd, a leading furniture retailer renowned for its exquisite designs and superior quality, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Furniture Sales Store Manager to join our team in Lower Hutt. As the Store Manager, you will be responsible for leading our sales team, driving revenue growth, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Sales Leadership: Lead and motivate a team of sales associates to achieve sales targets and KPIs.
  2. Customer Service Excellence: Ensure that every customer receives outstanding service by fostering a customer-centric culture among staff.
  3. Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels, merchandise displays, and product placement to maximise sales and enhance the shopping experience.
  4. Operational Efficiency: Manage store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and compliance with company policies and procedures.
  5. Training and Development: Train, coach, and develop store sales team to enhance their product knowledge, sales skills, and customer service abilities.
  6. Marketing and Promotions: Collaborate with the marketing team in Head Office to implement effective promotions, and marketing campaigns to drive foot traffic and increase sales.
  7. Budget Management: Monitor and manage store expenses, and sales budgets and ensure weekly/annual targets are achieved.

Requirements:

  1. Proven experience in retail management, preferably in the furniture or home furnishings industry.
  2. Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  4. Customer-focused mindset with a passion for delivering exceptional service.
  5. Results-driven with a track record of achieving sales targets and KPIs.
  6. Solid understanding of retail operations, including inventory management and merchandising.
  7. Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as required.
