About the role

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking General Hand/Caretaker to join our team based in Whanganui. This is a varied role offering between 20 – 45 hours per week (depending on weather and workload) and will be spread across our private residences as well as our Whanganui and Bulls sites. You’ll enjoy a mix of hands-on tasks including vehicle cleaning (interior and exterior), gardening and hedge trimming, mowing lawns, weed eating, spraying (knapsack and 300L motorised sprayer on skid), running errands, collecting goods for our factories, and pitching in with general yard duties — no two days are the same!

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes initiative, and is confident working independently to get the job done. You should be tidy, take pride in your work, always operate safely, and provide regular daily reporting. A ute, trailer, fuel, and all necessary tools will be provided, and remuneration will be determined based on the skills and experience of the right person for the role.

Skills and Experience

Essential:

• Experience with small engines


• Mechanical skills


• Competent with general hand tools


• Can work without supervision

Desired:

• Basic building knowledge


• Painting experience
