BBM (Buttabean Motivation) has a fantastic opportunity for a General Manager to join and lead their From The Couch (FTC) programme, helping this amazing organisation with its ambitious growth plans. This is a truly meaningful role with the sole purpose of helping more people in need across Aotearoa. This is a newly created role, and we are looking for someone who truly cares about the wellbeing of people, believes in creating meaningful communities, and has the energy and fresh ideas to take the organisation to the next level. People are at the heart of BBM, and we are looking for a leader who can drive outcomes that make a real difference.
As a General Manager, you will report to the board of FTC and work closely with Dave Letele. You will be running and leading the From the Couch (FTC) programme, which is the flagship programme for the organisation. You will be making things happen across the organisation, putting ideas into fruition with the backing of Dave. The board is incredible and will offer support and guidance, but they are looking for the successful person to be autonomous, drive results, and develop their own strategy to grow the FTC programme.
The organisation has ambitious goals of rolling out the BBM From the Couch (FTC) programme across the country in the coming few years. To achieve this goal, you will need to take the lead on growing revenue for the organisation. Revenue will predominantly come from grants and various departments of national and local government, so it is essential that you can operate at a senior level and have the drive and energy to be the front person for revenue generation. Other sources of revenue could also come from leveraging your business or community networks for donations. As such, we are looking for someone with an entrepreneurial approach, who can put in place effective systems, structures, and processes to ensure the funding rates can match the goals of expanding these incredible programmes.
This role is a true General Manager opportunity, and you will be expected to be very strategic, developing and implementing standard operating procedures to make the organisation fit for purpose to ensure the growth targets are met. You will own the P&L and budgets for the From The Couch programme (FTC) with guidance and help from Dave and the board. You will be leading a team of two direct reports, who are very capable and will be a real asset to the successful person.
