About Us:
We are a trusted commercial cleaning specialist, relied upon by major facility and procurement managers to uphold cleanliness and hygiene standards. With our commitment to excellence, we've experienced significant growth and are now seeking a seasoned General Manager to lead our Operations in Auckland, New Zealand.

The Role:
As the General Manager, you will provide dynamic leadership and management oversight for our operations across the specified regions. You'll ensure seamless shared services, report on insights, and drive engagement with clients to meet contractual requirements. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of new business transitions and contribute to the company's continued growth and success.

Skills Required:

  • Strong leadership and emotional intelligence
  • Proven ability to develop and manage high-performance teams
  • Self-starter with excellent multitasking abilities
  • Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills
  • Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Responsibilities:

  • Full P&L accountability for financial management across the portfolio
  • Ensuring compliance with legal and contractual obligations
  • Overseeing training and supervision of staff
  • Collaborating with shared services for seamless service delivery
  • Fostering a culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement
  • Leading the end-to-end transition of new business
  • Championing a positive HSEQ culture and compliance with policies

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated financial acumen, including P&L management and budgeting
  • Commercial and contracts knowledge and experience
  • Expertise in developing and executing operational plans
  • Understanding of cleaning services, pricing, and labor models
  • Proficiency in advanced Excel and numerical analysis
  • Experience in managing and developing large teams
  • Knowledge of HSEQ systems and requirements (preferred)
