Join our Queenstown team and play a key role in keeping our roads and infrastructure safe, functional, and looking their best.

We’re on the lookout for a motivated General Worker who’s keen to be part of a hardworking crew delivering essential civil construction and roading work across the region. This is a great entry point into civil if you’ve got some operator or construction exposure and want to build your skills further.

In this role, you’ll be out on site supporting day-to-day maintenance activities – no two days are the same. You’ll be involved in:

• Setting up safe worksites for your crew and the public
• Assisting with machinery operation and general labouring tasks
• Supporting repairs and maintenance across roading infrastructure
• Ensuring materials, tools, and equipment are used efficiently
• Working as part of a tight-knit team to deliver high-quality results

Nga pūkenga matua | Important Skills
You will have a genuine interest in the civil infrastructure industry and looking to grow and up skill your current skills.  You will also have:
 

• The ability to work hands-on as a team player
• Previous civil labouring and asphalt experience is beneficial but not essential
• Good timekeeping skills – punctuality and reliability is key!
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Confidence communicating and working around the public
• A high level of physical fitness
• A Full Class 1 License
