We are hard-working, down-to-earth, and passionate engineers and geologists who provide quality geotechnical site investigation, analysis, and design advice to the construction infrastructure and energy sectors.

As an engineering geologist at CMW Geosciences, you'll be treated like an industry professional from the get-go. After completing the necessary training and inductions, you'll go out in the field to learn the practical field skills that form the basis of the technical work we do. You'll have access to senior technical staff to guide you through the early stages of your career and fast-track your growth. You'll be exposed to the full project lifecycle, to start to prepare you for career from day one. Unlike larger organizations, you won't be siloed into one stream of the business or handed low-responsibility tasks for the first year. You'll be learning technical, practical and project related skills and within 2-4 years, we expect you'll be able to manage and run projects from start to finish.

Our Auckland (North Shore) office is looking to take on an engineering geologist starting immediately or within the next 3 months. You'll be involved with a range of fieldwork duties, supporting the delivery of small to large projects throughout the Central North Island.

What You'll Need

• A Geology or Earth Science Degree
• Previous experience in a geotechnical engineering consultancy is preferred
• Ability to complete strenuous field work tasks
• Ability to travel when required
• A full New Zealand drivers license
• A desire to work outside with a love of rocks, soil and geology
• Good interpersonal skills
• Exceptional organisation and communication skills, both verbal and written
