Job Description - GM Sales & Marketing

Responsibilities

:

As the GM Sales & Marketing, you will report directly to the CEO and be responsible for the continued performance and growth of the Glow Lab brand performance in key grocery and pharmacy channels. This is a newly created position to propel the ANZ region through continuous improvement and sales excellence. Cultivate a strong sense of culture based on Glow Lab’s vision and values and execute on business strategy through:
  • Leadership and Strategy: Develop and lead the sales and marketing strategy across New Zealand and Australia, ensuring alignment with brand strategy, category leadership, and strategic customer management goals.
  • Team Management: Lead, mentor, and motivate sales, marketing and category functions, to optimize marketing and promotional spend and meet growth and profit goals. Foster a culture of high performance and collaboration.
  • Business Planning: Formulate and implement Annual Business Plans, incorporating People, Brand, Channel, Agency, and Customer elements to meet annual budgets and core KPIs.
  • Customer Relationships: Manage and enhance customer relationships by coaching the National Business Managers across all distribution channels and partnerships, embodying Glow Lab’s vision, mission, and values.
  • Financial Management: Oversee the financial performance of the sales and marketing functions, ensuring alignment with budgetary and profitability targets.
  • Commercial Evaluation: Provide commercial evaluation and board reporting, offering forward-focused business insights and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Operational Planning: Manage sales and marketing input into the ‘Sales and Operational Planning’ process, optimizing marketing and promotional spend to achieve growth and profit expectations.

  • Skills & experience desired:

  • Minimum 10 years of Sales & Marketing experience within FMCG sector.
  • Senior Sales & Marketing roles experience across NZ and AU markets.
  • Proven sales leadership and ability to develop strategic customer plans that deliver sales and profit.
  • Demonstrated history of people leadership, change management and culture development.
  • Strong commercial acumen and financial literacy.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of engaging, influencing, and negotiating with all internal and external stakeholders.
