Job Description - Graduate Engineer (6 month contract)

Are you a recent Masters or PHD engineering graduate ready to turn ideas into reality?

We’re looking for a Graduate Engineer to join our Research and Development team for a full-time 6-month contract to support the development and optimisation of advanced printer systems and related post-processing infrastructure.

About the role

This is an excellent opportunity for the successful candidate to gain and develop their experience in:

  • Building a printer from kitset – Assemble, test, and refine cutting-edge printer technology.
  • Optimising printer performance – Improve speed, reliability, and quality through data-driven experimentation.
  • Designing and building post-processing stations – Create tailored solutions that complete the production workflow.
  • Collaborating across R&D – Work closely with engineers, designers, and project leads to ensure your work supports wider departmental goals. 

About you

As a Graduate Mechanical Engineer you will have:

  • A recent graduate in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related discipline
  • Strong hands-on building and prototyping skills
  • Familiarity with CAD is a plus
  • A keen eye for optimisation and continuous improvement
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
