About the role
We are seeking a talented and versatile Graphic and Digital Designer to join our marketing team. In this multifaceted role, you will be the creative behind the brand, contributing to various projects from concept development to execution across multiple platforms. Working closely with the Marketing Manager, your key responsibilities will include:
- Designing visually appealing graphics to support products and marketing initiatives, including product images, printed and digital graphics, and marketing communication materials.
- Turning design briefs into fully developed branding projects that are aligned with customer’s expectation, and design branding materials such as labels, logos, and promotional materials.
- Maintaining label programs for all brands and working closely with the technical and operations teams to ensure all labels are current, accurate and compliant.
- Designing content for social media and keeping a social media content calendar.
- Taking and editing product and application photos to be used across multiple platforms.
- Creating educational product and application content, including demo videos, guides, and tutorials.
- Creating engaging and effective direct email communications.
- Creating content for websites and ensuring they are kept up to date.
- Liaising with cross functional stakeholders on project objectives and inputs.
- Maintaining high standards of quality and ensuring consistency and adherence to brand guidelines across all marketing collateral.
We’re looking for someone who has:
- 5+ years of experience in a graphic and digital design role, ideally within the commercial sector.
- Ability to work in-house at our Airport Oaks location.
- Relevant tertiary level qualification.
- Intermediate to high level proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud and MS Office Suite.
- Good command of WordPress or similar and MailChimp or similar.
- Good knowledge of photography, videography, and editing.
- Experience in creating digital content for websites and social media, and a keen interest in managing social media accounts, data analysis and reporting.
- Basic knowledge of SEO, keyword research and Google Analytics.
- Ability to work across a range of different mediums (print, EDMs, social media, websites, and more).
- Experience in publishing and printing, especially for product labels, would be a huge advantage.
Our ideal candidate would also:
- Be resilient and flexible, with confident communication skills and the ability to proactively address challenges.
- Have a strong eye for aesthetics and excellent attention to detail.
- Have experience in managing and delivering multiple projects, as well as experience with working with external suppliers.
- Be self-motivated, hardworking, well organized, and resilient to ever-changing timelines, requests, and deliverables.
- Adaptable and able to pick up new and evolving technology, systems and processes.
- Have excellent written and verbal English language skills.
