Group Financial Accounting and Shared Services Senior Accountant

Te whiwhinga mahi: The opportunity 

We have an exciting new opportunity for a Group Financial Accounting and Shared Services Senior Accountant to join our Finance team.

The purpose of this position is to offer high quality financial accounting services and deliver financial management reporting services that supports the group’s strategy while providing relevant, timely and accurate financial information to both internal and external stakeholders as required.

The primary focus is to provide support to the Pinnacle Group, Associate Entities and other organizational stakeholders with the provision of accurate and timely financial information and advice.

You will also provide supervision to the payroll and accounts payable functions.

He kōrero mōu: About you 

• CA / CPA qualification and experience in a CA firm environment.


• 5+ years’ experience in a similar accounting role.


• Experience with Tier 1 PBE IPSAS financial accounting standards and preparation of consolidated statutory financial statements.


• Ability to manage and lead the external audit process. 


• Experience in delivering month end financial reporting with commentary for multiple entities and stakeholders.  


• Excellent technical and analytical skills.


• Ability to work unsupervised.


• Excellent time management skills.


• Excellent communication skills.


• Experience with preparation of tax, GST and FBT returns. 


• Ability to work to deadlines.


• Experience with Finance One, Xero or similar accounting systems.


• Ability to identify and resolve issues and improve processes.


• Experience in the primary healthcare system.


• Experience supervising, supporting and training staff.
