We are excited to announce the opening of our state-of-the-art Recreation Centre in late 2024, a hub for sport, health and wellbeing on our campus. As we embark on this new chapter, we are seeking an experienced Group Fitness Team Leader , officially titled Recreation Programmes Team Leader .
As a Recreation Programmes Team Leader , you will play a pivotal role in developing and delivering high-quality group fitness programmes and wellbeing opportunities that contribute to the vibrant culture of our university. You will lead a team of two direct reports dedicated to coordinating and delivering diverse active recreation activities and indirectly support a team of 45+ group fitness instructors and programme facilitators. Reporting to the Operations and Programmes Manager, you play an integral part of creating a culture of high performance, motivation and innovation. You will also work closely with the Team Leaders across Sport and Recreation, providing greater support and collaborative leadership.

This is a full-time (37.5 hrs/week), permanent role working Monday to Friday. The ideal candidate will be available to deliver inspiring freestyle group fitness classes at least 2-3x per week as part of the role. Flexible work hours will sometimes be required, including evenings and weekends, due to the nature of the business hours, schedule of activities, urgent class cover and event delivery requirements. This is a newly created position with career progression and professional development opportunities. The salary range for this role is $68,600 to $84,700, depending on skills and experience.
