Grouter Operator - Underground Mining

Our Underground operations team are on the search for a Grouter Operator. This role work to safely install cables, spilling bars and drill collars using cement grout or resin to comply with company standards and site procedures. Additionally, follow instruction given from supervisor to assist in meeting daily objectives in a safe and effective manner. 

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Install, grout and tension twin strand cable bolts
• Cut cable tails off
• Install, grout and tension dynamic cable bolts
• Backfill dynamic cable bolt with grout
• Install mesh or osro straps when tensioning cable bolts
• Grout DCS/CT bolts
• Grout bogged drill steels
• Assist loading of cable cassette on Cabolter
• Cut and make up cables to correct lengths that are required for hand installation
• Operate IT and Telehandler
• Operate air grinder to cut cables
• Operate cable pusher attachment tool for cables > 15m length
• Grout in poly collars and make up valves for drain holes

• Full driver’s license, competent driving a manual vehicle 
• Working at heights licence
• First Aid Certificate beneficial

Experience:                  

• 2+ years underground experience preferred
• Signed Off – IT’s (Integrated Tool Carrier)
• Experience with resin encapsulation and truck operations would be advantageous.
