GUIDANCE COUNSELLOR - Career Growth Potential

As one of NZ's oldest secondary schools, Auckland Girls' Grammar School has been educating young women since 1888.  Our tradition of academic, cultural and sporting success where students aim high and find success has continued for over a century.

We are seeking a Guidance Counsellor to work with our students in our diverse, multicultural school environment. 

The ideal candidate will:

• Be passionate and confident working with tamahine
• Work as part of a dynamic Student Services team to equip, enable and empower our tamahine
• Build and maintain effective networks within school, with whanau and with external agencies as appropriate.
• Support the school’s vision to nurture a culture of excellence through whānaungatanga, manaakitanga and kairangitanga.

Teaching registration will be an advantage but is not essential.

We are funded for a full time permanent position but are also interested in applicants who may be looking for just part time hours as well.  Please state in your application if you are interested in a part time position.  This position will commence at the beginning of term 3, 2024.  

The successful applicant will be a provisional or full member of NZAC or NZCCA.

If the applicant is a registered teacher they will be paid as per the STCA Payscale.
