Hawkes Bay Regional Manager
At Croptide we are on a mission to allow growers to use the minimum water possible to achieve yield and quality targets. We are an early-stage but fast-moving NZ company, backed by tier-one Silicon Valley investors. The Croptide sensor is a first-of-its-kind device that attaches directly to the trunk of permanent perennial crops, such as apple trees and grapevines, to read key metrics such as water status in real-time. We are passionate about developing a product where insights derived from our sensors can help growers to make the best decisions for their crops, optimising resources and ensuring they can meet sustainability objectives. New Zealand based but with a global footprint, we strive to create an environment where our people are challenged professionally and love their work every day.
About This Role
We are seeking an independent, team-oriented Hawkes Bay Regional Manager to join our team in a role based in Hawkes Bay. This key role will involve leadership of Croptide’s commercial operation and field trials in the North Island, primarily in the Hawkes Bay region. As part of this, you will be working directly with Croptide’s commercial, research, and trial partners, such as T&G Global, Rockit, Pernod Ricard, Indevin, Zespri, and Plant and Food Research. Some travel will be required to the key regions where Croptide operates in the North Island, predominantly BoP and Auckland. Travel to regions where Croptide is active such as Marlborough, California, Washington State, Spain, France, and Italy may also be required.
We believe that a culture that puts people, safety, and quality first is imperative, along with an attitude of treading lightly with the environment. Workflow is fast-paced, team-oriented, and constantly evolving as to be expected with an early-stage technology start-up. Those looking for an easy ride need not apply. The role will entail a healthy mix of field and desktop work, with internal and external engagement, driven by a ‘customer first’ mentality.
