High Street City Health is a traditional family practice providing a warm, friendly, and personalised service to our patients. We have a small, dedicated team of GP’s, nurses and reception staff who have served the primary care needs in Canterbury for over forty years.
We are seeking a Health Care Assistant to join our team for four days (.8) per week days to be negotiated.
About the role
Working under the direction of a Registered Nurse or General Practitioner you will provide primary care nursing support, patient interventions and treatment within the Medical Centre. This will include:
- basic patient cares including chaperone, BP checks
- phlebotomy, infection control and housekeeping practices
- paperwork including recalls and nurse administration support
- data entry and records management
- stock management and ordering
- patient registration
- reception cover, as needed
To be successful in this role you will have:
- experience as a Health Care Assistant in general, dental, or veterinary practice or similar environment
- excellent communication skills with both patients and colleagues
- a positive, can-do attitude
- great time management skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- experience using MedTech (would be an advantage)
- experience and knowledge of medical administration in a clinical setting including fund claiming processes (would be an advantage)
- ability to prioritise and work autonomously
