HCA - High Street City Health - Get Hired Fast

High Street City Health is a traditional family practice providing a warm, friendly, and personalised service to our patients. We have a small, dedicated team of GP’s, nurses and reception staff who have served the primary care needs in Canterbury for over forty years.

We are seeking a Health Care Assistant to join our team for four days (.8) per week days to be negotiated.

About the role

Working under the direction of a Registered Nurse or General Practitioner you will provide primary care nursing support, patient interventions and treatment within the Medical Centre. This will include:

• basic patient cares including chaperone, BP checks
• phlebotomy, infection control and housekeeping practices
• paperwork including recalls and nurse administration support
• data entry and records management
• stock management and ordering
• patient registration
• reception cover, as needed

To be successful in this role you will have:

• experience as a Health Care Assistant in general, dental, or veterinary practice or similar environment
• excellent communication skills with both patients and colleagues
• a positive, can-do attitude
• great time management skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• experience using MedTech (would be an advantage)
• experience and knowledge of medical administration in a clinical setting including fund claiming processes (would be an advantage)
• ability to prioritise and work autonomously
