Princes Gate Hotel group owns the following hotels/lodge, and we are currently recruiting for Food & Beverage Duty Manager staff for our hotel.

 

Prince's Gate Hotel, built in 1897, is an old boutique hotel with 52 rooms, a restaurant, bar, and meeting rooms. It has been masterfully restored through passionate attention to detail, situated at Rotorua's finest address, in the heart of the city.

 

Black Swan Lakeside Boutique Hotel is a luxury boutique hotel offering 10 exquisite rooms is of the highest standard with one acre of grounds includes rose gardens, sweeping lawns, swimming pool, spa, secret grotto, private jetty, nine guest rooms and a restaurant. Each room is conceived to deliver a meaningful experience and strong connection to space.


Hana Lodge is a luxury boutique hotel with 15 rooms offering an outdoor swimming pool, restaurant, fitness Centre and games room. Rotorua's city center and Rotorua International Airports just a short 15-minute drive away.

 

We seek a passionate Head Chef with sound skills and experience in all areas of the kitchen as for our restaurants and bar at our hotel properties. The head chef should be able to oversee all 3 hotel's kitchen operation. Come create an amazing food experience for our guests. 

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Menu design and planning
  • Work to established KPI's
  • Prepare and control daily food demands
  • Ensure consistent high standards of food preparation, presentation and quality are maintained
  • The daily running of the kitchen, purchasing, as well as carrying out stock takes
  • Communicating with other departments
  • Forecasting and rostering. 
  • Recruiting, training, and mentoring kitchen staff
  • Comply with Food Safety Plan and processes. 

What we are looking for:

  • Ability to oversee kitchen operations in multi property
  • Previous experience and success in a similar role in a 4-5-star property
  • Creative mindset and ability to bring strong ideas to the hotel, restaurant and kitchen
  • Excellent leadership skills and the ability to lead a team
  • Strong communication skills
  • Reliable and hardworking
  • Ability to foster a strong team culture
  • Strong organizational skills and a high level of presentation
