The lodge consists of 10 chalets, 15 Villas, 1 x main lodge and conference buildings all scattered on beautiful park like grounds, right on the banks of the Tongariro River.

Job Description

• A great opportunity exists to further your career and to work with our award-winning team, as Head Housekeeper.
• Responsible for overseeing our housekeeping team and maintaining a high standard of cleanliness throughout the property to deliver an exceptional guest experience.
• You will be responsible for cleaning and also monitoring daily housekeeping operations some of these tasks include the following:
• Cleaning, inspecting and releasing rooms.
• Supervise and support room attendants daily, whilst liaising with the different departments of the property.
• Attend to guest queries and feedback.
• On job training of employees.
• Perform routine inspections of all check in/out rooms and spot checks for daily servicing.
• Report and follow up on any maintenance defects or other issues.
• Allocate duties, coordinate departure/arrival reports with Front Office team.
• Monitor stock and inventories to ensure adequate supplies.

Qualifications

• Your skills and experience should include:
• Previous experience in a supervisory housekeeping role.
• Excellent communication skills with a high competency in English.
• Able to work on a 7-day roster including weekends and public holidays.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a keen eye for detail.
• Ability to lead and influence a team.
• Full, clean Driver’s license
