We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a permanent full time Head of Faculty—Arts on our Senior Campus starting on 28 January 2026.

Located on the beautiful Hibiscus Coast of Auckland, KingsWay is a high achieving, growing, state integrated Christian school catering for Year 1-13 students, with a current roll of 2000 students.  Our staff are supportive and collaborative, and our work is inspired by love/aroha, heartened by faith/whakapono in Jesus Christ, and motivated by gospel hope/tumanako. 

About the job

Working closely with the Arts Department staff, this 2SU role is responsible for:

• Effectively engaging with and teaching Arts to students in Years 11–13 and evaluating the department’s academic process and achievement 


• Continuing to develop effective unit/standards which respond effectively and appropriately to all students needs 
  


• Successfully leading, mentoring, and influencing team members of the department 


• Promoting and supporting faculty professional development and learning 


• Holding effective faculty meetings 


• Ensuring whole school assessment, reporting, and moderating practices are being adhered to 


• Contributing to strategic HOF and Senior School meetings 
  

The successful applicant will show:

• A high degree of pedagogical knowledge and experience in the Arts curriculum (NCEA Level 1-3) and learning strategies


• Proven ability to relate well and be culturally responsive to a diverse range of staff and students


• Innovation and be digitally proficient 


• Motivation, organisational skills, and will be student-centred 


• Capability in developing sustainable systems of departmental evaluation and improvement 


• Resilience and will exhibit a positive and professional attitude 


• Support of whole school goals
