Head of Finance

We have a newly created role for a Head of Finance to join our mission, leading the global finance function. 

Reporting to the CFO, this is both a senior and hands-on role, perfect for a technically strong finance leader who enjoys both detail and big-picture impact. You’ll ensure financial integrity across the business and provide insights that shape performance and growth.  You’ll lead a highly capable team and act as a true business partner, combining financial stewardship with commercial insight. 

In this role, delivering the fundamentals is a given - timely, accurate accounts, compliant reporting and strong internal controls.  The real impact comes from understanding how our products move through long development cycles and global supply chains, ensuring cashflow and investment decisions support growth and innovation. 

What you’ll do: 

• Lead the full accounting cycle, AP/AR, inventory, payroll, treasury and tax compliance. 

• Deliver accurate and timely financial reporting, analysis and insights. 

• Manage cashflow planning, foreign exchange and banking relationships. 

• Partner with leaders across wholesale, retail, e-commerce, marketing and product to support decisions. 

• Lead and mentor the finance team, building capability as we grow globally. 

• Provide strategic insights and analysis to support profitable growth. 

What you’ll bring: 

• A genuine connection to what we stand for, pushing boundaries to drive change in an industry dominated by plastics. 

• Minimum 5 – 7+ years’ experience. 

• Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent qualification preferred. 

• Experience in financial control roles, ideally in retail, apparel, or consumer products.  Deep understanding of inventory, product costing and long-lead-time development. 

• Strong commercial finance and business partnering skills.  Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and support strategic decisions. 

• Confidence working across NZ and international operations. 

• Hands-on leadership style suited to a fast-paced, entrepreneurial growth business.
