About the role We are looking for an experienced Head of School, with strong knowledge of the education sector to be responsible for:
- Overall leadership and performance of this School
- Development, management and leadership of programmes in the School, focusing on student success
- Line management of tutors including timetabling, professional development and performance appraisal
Working directly with our Group Academic Director, your passion for learner success and drive for high quality programme delivery will see you thrive in this dynamic and supportive team.
Skills and experience - A minimum of a Master's degree relevant in Education - e.g. MEd, MEdLd, MEdPrac, MTch Current
- Full New Zealand Drivers Licence
- Current Full (Tuturu) Practising Certificate with the Teaching Council of Aotearoa New Zealand
- Minimum 5 years of experience in working with children and families in centers
- Ideally you will have experience teaching and working with adult learners
- Strong commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi
- Preferably an active researcher with recent outputs relevant to teaching and learning
- Experience in staff management
- Experience in programme development and management
- Strong knowledge of programme compliance to NZQA standards (Monitoring and Moderation)
- Sound knowledge of NZQA unit standards
- Strong industry stakeholder networks
