About the Role:

BestStart Faringdon is looking for an experienced Head Teacher for our busy preschool space aged 3-4 year olds, who shares our centre values and vision. Ideally, we are looking for someone who would be confident implementing strategies to create a safe nurturing learning space and role modelling inspired and experienced teaching practice.

Our successful applicant will need to be:

experienced working in a leadership role in an ECE setting or be confident they are ready to step into a leadership role

bubbly, outgoing, kind, patient, and able to show initiative

calm under pressure and solution focused

a self-starter -creating exciting ideas and experiences to extend our children's learning

aligned with our centre philosophy

have excellent time management skills (staying up to date with planning and documentation)

Role requirements:

We are looking for someone who has a good understanding of programme planning and assessment as well as a drive and passion for growth.

Additional requirements include:

B Ed/Dip Teaching Level 7 (ECE) and current Teacher Certification

A strong understanding of programme planning, pedagogy and curriculum

Good knowledge of the current ECE Regulations, Te Whariki and hold compliance in a high regard

Passion and commitment for teaching and learning with a focus on delivering quality

This is a permanent full-time position working 40 hours, between 7am-6pm, Monday-Friday.
