About the role

As part of a Health and Safety team, based in the Waikato or Auckland/Christchurch/Palmerston North, this role provides support to sites nationwide. You’ll guide and mentor site-based staff, ensuring the continued improvement and evolution of established health and safety frameworks in a high-risk manufacturing environment. 

Duties will include

• Conducting site risk assessments and audits
• Guiding site staff to identify and prioritise areas of improvement
• Assist with investigations and facilitate corrective actions
• Facilitate and promote effective communication between management and workers

Skills and experience

This role requires well developed communication and coaching skills. Providing visible, technical expertise and knowledge in health and safety, you won’t be afraid to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in. In a time of transformation and change, you’ll be able to think on your feet and provide timely advice and creative solutions.

• Relevant qualification in health and safety
• Knowledge and operational experience of high risk industrial workplaces is an advantage
• ISO Audit qualification and/or experience is preferred

This role also requires the flexibility to travel and a clean driver’s licence.
