Health and Safety Systems Administrator

About the Role 

We are seeking a capable Health & Safety Systems Administrator to support the implementation and ongoing operation of Freightways Group’s enterprise Health & Safety systems. 

Working within the Group Health & Safety team, you will initially support the programme as new Health and Safety digital capabilities are implemented across our businesses in New Zealand and Australia. You will work alongside Freightways technology and business teams as well as external partners, building your knowledge of the application and its configuration before progressively taking ownership of system administration and support as the programme transitions into business-as-usual. 

This is a hands-on role combining system administration, application support, configuration, testing, reporting, training and vendor coordination. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Manage application support or change requests through to resolution.

  Provide Levels 1 and 2 application support and coordinate specialist escalations. 

  
  

• 
  

  Administer users, roles, permissions, organisational structures and controlled system values. 

  
  

• 
  

  Configure and maintain forms, workflows, approvals, notifications and business rules within agreed standards. 

  
  

• 
  

  Maintain approvals records for configuration and provide system evidence for audit, assurance and regulatory requirements. 

  
  

• 
  

  Test and document changes and support controlled production releases. 

  
  

• 
  

  Support data corrections, bulk uploads and ongoing data quality. 

  
  

• 
  

  Review application releases and assess impacts on users, configuration, reporting and integrations. 

  
  

• 
  

  Coordinate day-to-day activities with technology vendors and support providers. 

  
  

• 
  

  Maintain user guides, process maps, knowledge articles and administrator documentation. 

  
  

• 
  

  Train and coach users to support ongoing adoption. 

  
  

About You 

You will bring: 

• 
  

  Experience supporting an enterprise application, CRM, HRIS or similar SaaS platform. 

  
  

• 
  

  Good technical aptitude and an understanding of application configuration, workflows, role-based permissions, business rules, data and reporting. 

  
  

• 
  

  Experience with application support, troubleshooting, testing and controlled system changes and production releases in an enterprise environment. 

  
  


• Confidence investigating issues across application configuration, workflow, permissions and data. 

• 
  

  Strong communication, stakeholder management and customer-service skills. 

  
  

• 
  

  Strong organisation and prioritisation skills. 

  
  

• 
  

  Experience working with technology vendors or support providers in an enterprise setting is preferred. 

  
  

• 
  

  Health & Safety systems experience is desirable but not essential; relevant training will be provided.
