Health & Safety Manager

We are searching for an experienced Health & Safety Manager to join our site based in Whakatane. If you thrive in an environment where you can identify improvements, develop, and implement systems and procedures and alongside colleagues drive a health and safety culture throughout all levels of the organization then we want to hear from you. 

As Health & Safety Manager you will play a key role in: 

• Developing and implementing H&S strategies, systems, processes, and policies
• Monitoring the effectiveness of existing and new policies
• Identifying and driving H&S initiatives and training
• Providing meaningful H&S information, reports, and advice
• Facilitating workshops to drive H&S awareness and initiatives
• Identifying future H&S requirements for the site

Ideally you will have:

• At least 5 years H&S experience, preferably with management skills
• A recognised Health and Safety qualification
• Ability to demonstrate proven training skills and abilities
• Experience in a manufacturing or similar industry
• A good understanding and working knowledge of all relevant legislation and regulations
• Excellent communication, relationship building and influencing skills as well as an eye for detail and creative problem solving
