The Role:
Healthy Homes Noho Ahuru Team Lead
The purpose of this position is to provide direct management to the team supporting whānau receiving a Healthy Homes Programme through the Noho Āhuru pathway, ensuring a positive outcome for whānau. The position will perform a key role in managing our overarching programme deliverables including Winter Warmer Packs, curtain installations, interventions, minor repairs, and on-referrals to other agencies to support a warmer, drier home and reducing negative health impacts associated with cold and damp housing.
Full time 40 hours - 8.30am to 5.00pm
Specific Duties:
Leadership and management
- Ensure the team is trained and have the resources to deliver the programme.
- Develop growth opportunities for programme delivery, including upskilling staff and monitoring results.
- Facilitate community events to connect organisations.
- Present at community hui (public speaking).
- Monitor progress and ensure we are on track to meet referral targets.
- Liaise with organisations to ensure they are fully supported with the referral process into Noho Āhuru – Healthy Homes.
- Establish strong relationships with referral providers, including resolving any issues.
- Support the coordination of Housing Assessments, including ensuring all information is collected.
- Use our customer management system, Salesforce/NPSP, to ensure data is inputted in a timely and concise manner.
- Liaise with key stakeholders, including receiving referrals, collaborating with organisations and outreach services around deliverables and liaising with landlords and property managers.
- Analyse data to capture gaps in the programme and facilitate changes to process to meet programme obligations.
- Attends Operational Meetings.
Salesforce / NPSP
- Working knowledge of Salesforce/ NPSP database advantageous.
- Ability to pull reports, or capable of learning new systems to manage this autonomously.
- Attend Salesforce training sessions and ensure time is taken to embed knowledge of system.
Health & Safety
- Working knowledge of Safer me (Health and Safety Platform) advantageous.
- Record and report on all accidents, incidents, and hazards and/or risks.
- Understand and comply with all company health and safety policies and procedures.
Ideally the candidate will have:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Full and clean driver’s license.
- Enthusiasm for the role and willingness to learn new skills.
- Ability to work within and communicate effectively with a range of cultures, particularly Māori and Pasifika.
- Ability to multi-task and work autonomously.
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral).
- Competent ion Salesforce or other similar CRM system.
- Patience, honesty, reliability and integrity.
- Proven ability to build and maintain stakeholder relationships.
- Effective inter-cultural communication skills.
- A genuine interest in social causes and alignment to Habitat’s mission and values.
