He angitūtanga: The opportunity
Auckland Council’s Healthy Waters and Flood Resilience department has an opportunity for a Healthy Waters Advisor to join the Healthy Waters Network Solutions team. This role provides technical advice across Auckland’s three waters networks, supporting the team and wider council with commercial, statutory, property and dispute resolution matters.
Working across a varied portfolio, you will support the successful delivery of Healthy Waters and Flood Resilience projects by managing access to property processes, including coordinating consultants, ensuring statutory compliance, and working with affected landowners, occupiers and project teams.
With a strong focus on stakeholder relationships, collaboration and continuous improvement, this is a great opportunity to contribute advice that supports high-quality outcomes for Auckland’s communities, environment and water infrastructure.

Day-to-day you could expect to work on:
He kōrero mōu: About you
You will bring sound experience in the three waters infrastructure or local government sector, with the ability to provide practical advice across commercial, statutory, property and dispute resolution matters. Comfortable working reasonably independently, you will be confident supporting low to medium risk projects while balancing customer outcomes, environmental requirements, budgets, timeframes and stakeholder expectations.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills will be key, along with the adaptability to work through change and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, Mana Whenua, utility providers, stakeholders and the wider council whānau.
