Heavy Diesel Field Service Technician

At Terra Cat, you’ll work on Caterpillar equipment across construction, marine and forestry industries, backed by an experienced leadership team and a workshop that supports quality work.

The role

Starting from the branch each day you will travel across the Auckland region (the harbour bridge to the Bombay’s) working on customer sites to:

• Fault find, undertake diagnostics and troubleshoot problems

• Repair, service, maintain and rebuild equipment

• Plan and manage your daily workload efficiently

• Completing job documentation and reports

You’ll be supported by a highly experienced Leading Hand and Service Manager, plus a knowledgeable, down‑to‑earth team who back each other.

What we’re looking for

You may be:

• A qualified and experienced plant & equipment technician ready for field service, or

• A heavy diesel technician from agriculture, road transport, or materials handling looking to move into a new sector

You’ll be:

• Technically competent and safety‑focused

• Self‑motivated and organised

• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
