We are seeking an enthusiastic person with interest, experience and a qualification in Horticulture, to join our large, well-resourced and successful Science department, teaching Horticulture to senior students. A teaching qualification would be preferred. The successful candidate will ensure that the College’s Horticulture building and gardens are maintained appropriately. While a part-time role for a Horticulture specialist teacher would be considered, the ideal candidate would be able to teach both Horticulture and Science.
Applicants for positions at Avondale College should be NZ registered teachers and will endorse the school’s academic priority as well as be expected to participate in the extensive co-curricular life of the school.
The terms and conditions, including base salary, for this position is set by the Secondary Teachers' Collective Agreement. The base salary for trained and registered full-time teachers will range from $61,678 to $99,216 depending on applicants' qualifications and experience. Individuals' actual base salary will be established by a salary assessment once a role is confirmed.
This position starts on 28/01/2025 and holds 1MU.
