JO&JOE is a brand created in 2017. Our ‘open houses’ combine the comfort of a hotel with the friendliness of a youth hostel. Caring, colourful, open living spaces. Ideally located in international cities, our hostels offer an experience for travellers AND locals (rooftops, restaurants, bars, events, designer rooms at affordable prices). Each JO&JOE is unique, with a community rooted in neighbourhood life. We believe that travelling is not about affordability, but about being open-minded and wanting to meet new people. JO&JOE is opening its new hostel in Auckland! And is looking for its next Houseperson.

Come and write a page in the history of JO&JOE, by being part of the opening team! The Houseperson is the behind-the-scenes hero, supporting the housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure our spaces are always ready for guests and the community.

Why you?

None of these missions will scare you:

Mission 1: Support the housekeeping team by delivering linen, amenities, and supplies to guest rooms and public areas.

Mission 2: Respond quickly to guest requests for extra towels, pillows, or other items, always with a friendly smile.

Mission 3: Keep public spaces (lobbies, corridors, restrooms) clean, tidy, and welcoming at all times.

Mission 4: Assist with minor maintenance tasks and report any issues promptly to the relevant team.

Mission 5: Help set up and break down event spaces as needed.

Mission 6: Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and hygiene regulations.

Mission 7: Be a team player, always ready to lend a hand wherever needed.

Because you’ve got it in you:

• A keen eye for detail and a passion for cleanliness.
• A positive, can-do attitude and a willingness to help others.
• Good organisational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strict adherence to hygiene, waste management, and safety rules.
• A desire to learn and grow.

YOUR LITTLE EXTRAS ARE:

• Experience in hospitality or cleaning roles is a plus, but not essential.
• Language required: English
