HR Administrator and ICT Trainor

About the role:

Our Human Resources (HR) team is expanding, and we are on the hunt for a personable, proactive, and experienced HR professional to join our fun floral company! The role will report through to the HR Lead and will take responsibility for the end-end HR functions for our Auckland teams with an emphasis on managing the recruitment process, payroll administration, and national staffing communications strategy. This role will also assume responsibility for ICT training. 

This role involves the following task areas:

• Managing Payroll Processing for all Auckland Teams. 
• Managing the Recruitment Process for all Auckland Teams. This includes placing ads, screening candidates, carrying out background checks, conducting interviews, and negotiating offers.
• Managing the Hiring and Onboarding process for new recruits – Issuing contracts and induction materials and equipment - ensuring this is timely, friendly, and sets us up for retention of staff.
• Managing the training surrounding company technology and app use.
• Assisting with the strategy and resourcing for staffing and marketing communication initiatives.
• Assisting with Developing, Implementing, and Maintaining more coordinated, simplified, and effective online communication platforms and technology systems for internal teams (office, packhouse, retail), and external teams (key accounts, external applicants, potential customers)
• Research, report on, design, and implement floral merchandising training aids (handbooks, checklists, online guides and best practice documents).

Days & Hours of work: Permanent, Full-time: 40 hours per week. This is a Monday - Friday role but may include occasional weekends to meet business need. We require all staff to commit to working during our key event seasons – Christmas, Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day.

Location: This role is 100% on site - based at our head office in Mount Wellington, Auckland. 

Remuneration: $62,000 -$66,000, subject to experience of applicant. 

What kind of candidate are we looking for?

• At least 12 months of recruitment and/or payroll experience.
• Experience in the floral retail industry is highly advantageous.
• A relevant tertiary level qualification. Relevant qualifications can be any that demonstrate a sound understanding of business, technology, and people. 
• Proven understanding of the Microsoft Suite - ideally experienced in Microsoft Lists, Microsoft Forms, and Excel. 
• Highly organized and systems oriented but an adaptable nature to respond to the dynamic flow of the 'fresh’ industry. 
• Strong Personal values of loyalty, honesty and diligence.
• Strength in relationship management at all levels with people from all walks of life.
• A team player who is flexible to cover others when required.
• Outstanding communication skills.
• A full and current drivers’ license.
