About the HR Advisor role

We are looking for an HR Advisor ready to flex their existing skillset in a client facing role.

This is not a role for order-takers! Our team are proactive in developing fantastic working relationships with our valued clients, becoming trusted advisors to the business, and partnering with leaders in the business to deliver great people outcomes.   

This is an opportunity to uplift and expand your HR and employment knowledge and be exposed to clients from a broad range of industries: including healthcare, construction, architecture, professional services, telco and more. 

 

You will be:

  • familiar with NZ employment legislation
  • a confident verbal and written communicator
  • used to a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • able to demonstrate confidence in working with key stakeholders

 

Key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Confidently providing HR advice and support on HR issues - aligned to NZ employment legislation
  • Supporting development of fundamental HR documentation: employment agreements, workplace polices and handbooks 
  • Research and drafting of new policies 
  • Leading or supporting Employment Relations activities: drafting documents to support PIPs, disciplinaries, investigations and restructures
  • Facilitating disciplinary and expectations meetings
  • Leading or supporting HR projects: HR audits; HR contract, and policy reviews.
  • Facilitation of engagement surveys: including drafting of results and themes for client 
  • Developing and maintaining direct client relationships 

 

Skills and Experience 

To be considered for this role, you’ll have:

  • a minimum of 2-3 years as an HR Advisor having progressed roles through HR
  • confidence in providing day to day advice on a broad range of HR aspects
  • proven experience in supporting or leading ER processes
  • experience applying New Zealand employment legislation 
  • a big picture mindset 
  • a collaborative and team focus
  • tertiary qualification in HR or related field 

 

There is significant learning and development within this role, with scope to increase responsibility over time.  

 

Ways of working

We are offering a full-time permanent position, based in our office in the Auckland CBD. We have a great, supportive workplace culture built through our team being office-based the majority of the time.  We are open to discuss flexible working arrangements, however the needs of our team come first.
