H&S Advisor

We are seeking to appoint a suitablyexperienced and motivated H&SAdvisor to our Fibre Team based in our Rotorua office. 

Reportingto the Fibre Procurement Operations Manager, you will need to show initiativeand the capacity to influence others. You should have a track record of makingsound judgments and decisions, be a team player with excellent interpersonaland communication skills, and be someone who focuses on finding solutions anddelivering results. You are a creative thinker who is dedicated to continuousimprovement, possess a flexible attitude and relishes working in a busy andchallenging environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, support and implementHealth and Safety, through the coordination, and support of policies,procedures, safety initiatives and systems.
• Identify,understand and effectively manage Health & Safety risks in our operations.
• Co-ordinateand maintain safety training programs across all sites.
• Measuresafety performance improvement.
• Assistand participate in H&S and site safety meetings, along with contributing tothe group’s projects.
• Conductincident investigations and audit operations to identify and control H&Srisk.
• Identifyand implement safety initiatives that will have a positive influence onproductivity. 

Youwill bring to the role:

• Relevant qualification and forestindustry safety experience, or sound knowledge of large industrial ormanufacturing safety environment
• Strong attention to detail with a proactivestructured approach to H&S management
• The ability to build effective workingrelationships at all levels of an organisation, including contractormanagement.
• Proficient with the Microsoft Officesuite and preferably experience with Risk Manager (H&S management system).
