HSE Advisor - Professional Development Opportunities

We are seeking a HSE Advisor to join our successful and well-established team. 

What is the role:

The role is to work within a positive safety culture alongside our staff and sub-contractor teams, understand our operations and provide practical input, solutions and support to our goal of continual improvement.   

Reporting to our Health and Safety Manager, the role will allow you to grow within a supportive culture whilst being involved with constructing some of the region's more technically challenging infrastructure projects.  

• Support and coach the project teams to develop and implement health and safety to manage key project risks efficiently.   
• Contribute to enhancing the safety and health culture throughout the company.
• Carry out audits on procedures, behaviors and conditions against company systems.
• Organise safety training for our employees.

 Who are you:

• Have a positive, engaging outlook and commitment. 
• 3+ years’ proven experience with a H&S role in the New Zealand construction industry.
• Relevant Health and Safety qualifications.  
• Experienced with New Zealand’s legislation i.e. HSWA, regulations and industry guidelines and standards.
• Superior teamwork and communication skills to develop and maintain relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
